St. Anthony’s Hospital Demolition Time-lapse

The 19 acre plot of land & neighborhood that has been the home of St. Anthony’s Hospital is undergoing a significant change. Demolition has been completed.

A thriving health resource since its inception in 1892, the St. Anthony Central Hospital complex was justly renowned for its trauma center and helicopter-pad Flight For Life operations. In 2011, hospital operations were moved to a new campus across town. EnviroFinance Group, LLC (EFG) acquired the property on January 11, 2013, and plans to decommission the existing main hospital building, abate and demolish more than 750,000 square feet of structures, and install new infrastructure to support a new mixed use neighborhood on the site. This land reuse project will become a cornerstone for the revitalization of the southern shore of the Sloan’s Lake neighborhood in West Denver, with its access to Sloan’s Lake Park and convenient light-rail transportation to downtown Denver.
